Village Hall News June 2007 West Hendred and Ginge Village Hall News Thank you to Patsy, Eunice and the strong band of young people from the Youth Club who went round the village litter picking on Friday 18th May. They managed to collect four bin bags of rubbish. Well done!! Hall Lettings Nigel continues on his road to recovery, and has kindly offered to assist Cathy with the village hall bookings. Noise Warning On Friday 29th June 7-10pm there will be a young person’s disco (birthday party). Every effort will be made to keep noise to a minimum. Uganda Coffe Morning Sale 19th May Thanks to everyone who came and supported the project and those who helped out. Over £1,000 was raised and all the money will go to the school in Uganda. Di Bellinger Pilates Class – coming to West Hendred We are fortunate to have a qualified Pilates teacher willing to run classes later in the year. The Pilates Method represents a unique approach to exercise that develops body awareness, improving and changing the body's postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement. Watch out for more information in future newsletters – or if you are interested in joining this class e mail Gwen at gwenmccourt@aol.com . Regular events at the hall include: Monday mornings 10.15am to 11.45 Mother and Baby/Toddler Group. Get together in the hall and meet/chat to other local mothers. Fathers welcome too. Just drop in. Local Bingo – watch for posters.. Meet on 2nd Friday month (usually) eyes down 7.45pm. West Hendred Stitchers - meet on 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10-4pm at the Village Hall. Open to everyone who’d like to stitch with friends in a warm and sociable atmosphere. Beginners welcome. Work on individual projects. Tea & coffee provided. Bring own lunch. Further information from Jane Soffe 01235 832554. Beginners Patchwork – meet on Thursdays (occasionally Wednesdays) at the village hall. Working together to produce patchwork for smaller/larger projects. If interested telephone Jane Soffe 01235 832554. Coffee Morning - plants and book sale The next sale is on Saturday May 26th 10- 12.
